Zazen—Zen Meditation
Zazen is Zen Buddhist sitting meditation. In this one-hour class, we will sit for twenty minutes twice, with a short walking medtiation (Kinhin) in between.
The meditations are guided and cover practices used in Zen. There will also be room for questions, feedback on posture, and inspirations for Zen in everyday life. In Zen, we practice mindfulness for what’s given right now.
We let go of the urge to react constantly and always think ahead. Thus, we open our minds and hearts. The practice of sitting meditation guides us into a posture, onto a path, that will begin to orient all our thinking and doing, conduct in relationships, and daily choices.
Master Boshan says: „The Way is inseparable from everything else. If it is something separate it cannot be called the Way.„
