ALEXANDRA SOLOMON
Alexandra has been a movement enthusiast for most of her life and strongly believes that education, at all ages, is the base for healthy, harmonious living. Her thread in life is Yoga, the path of non-duality, of inclusiveness and kindness. This reflects in her work and interests and informs the way she teaches. She built a strong foundation in her understanding of the dynamic nature of the body-mind connection, first by training as a competitive gymnast all through her childhood and teens, then in her University studies of Physical Therapy, massage and Thai traditional bodywork, meditation, yoga philosophy, trauma informed practices and nutrition. Currently she is widening her knowledge of the Self by studying the Feldenkrais Method of somatic exploration. It is a fascinating and exhilarating journey that creates bridges between the two powerful educational methods: Yoga & Feldenkrais.
Alexandra is a student of Yoga since 2007, practicing and teaching in the Ashtanga Vinyasa tradition for 17 years.
She travelled constantly for her yoga studies, including in Mysore where she attended classes at KPJAYI. From the many yoga teachers she met, the biggest respect and inspiration are for Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor.
Alexandra was born in a little town in the middle of Transylvania, Romania, lived in Bucharest for many years, and now she has found a new home here in Berlin.
